Notification of a Nominated Supervisor

When is this licence required?

You will need to notify the Agency if you nominate a supervisor for any service providing or intending to provide education and care on a regular basis to children under 13 years of age.

In order to nominate a supervisor you must be an approved provider, or a person with management or control of, an education and care service.

All nominated supervisors must give their written consent to the nomination, which is included in the notification and is also to be kept as part of the service staff records.

What are the eligibility requirements for this licence?

To be eligible to make this notification you must:

  • be an approved provider or a person with management or control of an education or care service
  • hold a service approval for the service you intend to nominate the supervisor for.

To be granted a notification you must:

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • be a fit and proper person
  • have adequate knowledge and understanding of the provision of education and care to children
  • have the ability to effectively supervise and manage an education and care service
  • have completed the child protection training requirements
  • hold a current working with children check.
